SHIP YOUR WINE BY SEA FREIGHT
There are two options availabe for a Sea freight shipment.
DOOR TO DOOR
Wine is shipped from eWine to your address. Costs vary on the size of the shipment and the delivery address. We will arrange everything for you, packing, export documentation, clearance, etc with the receiving agent. The forwarding agent contacts you as soon as the shipment arrives to arrange a convenient time for delivery and payment of duties and taxes.
DOOR TO PORT
Wine is shipped from eWine to your nearest Port. The forwarding agent will then contact you to let you know your shipment is ready for collection. You can then either collect the wine yourself or arrange for collection by a 3rd party yourself. Most of the time you can arrange for a cheaper delivery cost from Port to your address, local knowledge!

1 Pallet: R6,000
2 Pallets: R10,000

Vary from 16 - 25 days on average.
COSTS
Vary depending on sea freight option, Door to Port is the cheapest option but you have to arrange delivery from Port to your address. Approximately R4000 - R6000 for 600 bottles. Door to Door is more expensive because of the local delivery surcharge. The cost varies dependant on quantities and distance of destination address from Port. A recent shipment to the UK cost R6500 for a door to door delivery of 120 bottles.
PACKING
Sea freight shipments are sent in pallet units. One pallet can hold 50 cases of 12. It is therefore more economical to ship 50 cases as you will be paying the same as you would if you were to ship 120 bottles on a single pallet. 10 cases (120 bottles) is the minimum shipment quantity for a sea freight shipment of wine.
